Jacques HALBERT- « Mind the wall » April 22 – September 3, 2009
The Librairie Saint-Hubert is presenting Jacques HALBERT’s first show in Brussels where this French artist has recently settled. He has been painting CHERRIES since 1975. The sexy little cherry, painted in various compositions, generally on a blue background, not unlike stars in the sky, has become a visual tool not unlike Niele TORONI’s Imprints of a no. 50 paintbrush , BUREN's stripes or CADERE’s stick.
After spending over 20 years in the U.S., mostly in New York City, Jacques HALBERT is now back in Europe.
